Two Boston Printing Firms Announce Joint Venture
Two of Boston’s most innovative and respected printing companies, the Daniels Communications Group (DCG) and BFS Business Printing, have entered into a new joint venture.
Starting this past January, BFS Business Printing offset and digital division joined Daniels Communications to create BFSDaniels, LLC. Located at 12 Channel St. in Boston’s Seaport district, BFSDaniels is a digital and commercial printer with a full range of commercial print and design services, web-enabled Print-on-Demand solutions, fulfillment and mail services.
BFS Business Printing began as Benjamin Franklin Smith Printing in 1965; and for 45 years the concern has remained a Smith family business. Joanne and Rick Smith have joined BFSDaniels, along with CFO John Merrill. Grover Daniels is the new CEO of the company.
BFSDaniels now has a combined customer base of over 2,000 customers. The joint venture will not affect the current ownership and operations of CopyCop or BFS Document Solutions.
BFS Business Printing is moving!
After nearly a half-century at our Stuart St. location in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, BFS Business Printing is moving. In mid-January, BFS Business Printing will relocate to 12 Channel Street in Boston’s seaport district in a joint venture with Daniels Communications to form BFSDaniels. The move allows BFS Business Printing to become a more efficient company, which parallels with our goals to become a more eco-friendly business. We will continue to offer the same outstanding service and quality you’ve come to expect from BFS.
